Polymicro (PN 6100324) 5.32 M Source-to-Monochromator Fiber Optic Bundle

The Polymicro (PN 6100324) is a UV-VIS Optical Fiber Bundle with Spectral Transmission from 210 to 1100 nm. This Fiber Optic Bundle Can make collecting spectra with a Monochromator easy and even Save You Money! For Example, Suppose you want do emission spectroscopy in your research group and you have two separate vacuum chambers where molecules are produced. You could buy two separate monochromators systems $$$$$ or you could buy one monochromator system equipped with this Source-to-Monochromator UV-VIS Optical Fiber Bundle. This Fiber Optic Bundle is more than 17 feet long! All you need to do is design Emission fluorescence collection optics and a Fiber Bundle quick connector on each vacuum chamber and your set.

The dimensions of the Source-to-Monochromator UV-VIS Optical Fiber Bundle is as follows. The Bundle is 5.32 meters (~17.4 feet) long and each end has a 1.9 centimeters outer diameter. The Fiber Bundle on one end of the cable is a circle of about 7.5 mm in diameter while the other in is a rectangle ~4.0 x ~12 mm.

The left photograph above is a beam profile collected form the rectangular end of the Fiber Bundle with a Spiricon LBA-100. The hotter the color the higher the intensity (green is more intense than blue). The image was collected while pumping the Fiber Bundle with a white light source (Fiber-Lite Model 3100: also available) and shows that the transmission intensity is nearly homogenous across the High Quality Fiber Bundle.
